About
Elizabeth Peller is a writer, educator, and theater generalist from the midwest now residing in the DMV area. The majority of her experience is in writing, teaching artistry, costuming, and acting. She is currently getting her MFA in Creative Writing at American University. She is also a Teaching Artist for Imagination Stage, a Writing Center Tutor at American University, and a substitute teacher for PWCS. She received her BA from Creighton University n English and Technical Theater.
She finds the most joy in using storytelling—be it prose, theater, or otherwise—to educate people on topics they may be unfamiliar with and put them in conversation with those different from themselves. She loves research (especially historical research!), learning about the world around her, and sharing knowledge with others. She believes in the lasting social impact of art and that through art and education we can build a better society that promotes empathy and kindness.
